The Therapy Process
I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can be both exciting and a bit daunting. I am here to guide you through the process in a warm and supportive environment.
Initial Consultation
Our journey begins with an initial consultation. This is your opportunity to share your story and express your concerns. During this session, we will discuss your goals, expectations, and any specific challenges you are facing. I believe in establishing a strong foundation of trust, so feel free to ask questions and express your thoughts—this is your space.
Assessment and Goal Setting
Following the initial session, we will begin a thorough assessment. This involves exploring your history, family dynamics, and current situations. Together, we will identify key areas you want to focus on and set tangible goals for our work together. This collaborative approach ensures that therapy is customized to meet your needs.
Ongoing Sessions
Regular sessions provide a respectful and safe environment to delve deeper into your feelings and experiences. I utilize various therapeutic techniques, including Internal Family Systems, EMDR techniques, Emotionally Focused, Trauma Processing, and Narrative Therapy. These tools will help you gain insights, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.
Mid-Therapy Check-In
We will have regular check-ins to review your progress and goals. This is important for therapy since it helps us adjust our approach to better support you. Please feel free to share any thoughts or concerns.
Closure and Reflection
When you feel ready to conclude our sessions, we will take time to reflect on the journey we’ve taken together. Closure is an important step in acknowledging your progress and celebrating the work you’ve done. We’ll discuss ways to maintain the positive changes you’ve made and explore any ongoing support you may need. My aim is to give you useful tools, knowledge, and understanding to help you heal yourself.
Support Beyond Therapy
Therapy can be transformative, but it doesn’t end when our sessions do. I provide resources and tools to help you navigate life’s challenges moving forward. Remember, it’s perfectly normal to seek support at different points in your life, and I will be here if you wish to return.
I am committed to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you uncover deeper understanding and growth. Welcome to your journey!

My Approach to Therapy
I am compassionate, dedicated, and committed to supporting individuals and families on their journey toward healing and personal growth. I serve various areas of concerns, including relationship dynamics, emotional wellness, trauma recovery, family therapy, DSM diagnoses such as OCD, Depression, Anxiety, Borderline Personality, ADHD/ADD, Substance Use, Addictions (gaming, social media, working, sex, etc), Bi-Polar. I believe in creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings free from any judgement.
My approach is collaborative, empowering clients to take an active role in their therapeutic journey. I utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each unique situation, ensuring that every individual receives personalized care that respects their values and goals. I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships that foster trust, openness, and vulnerability.
My main lens is from an Internal Family Systems (IFS). I view each individual as a system of various “parts,” each with unique roles and voices. We all possess different aspects of ourselves, each shaped by our experiences, emotions, and beliefs. Examples: “A part of me wants to go to the party, but a part of me feels safer staying home so I won’t get rejected.” or “A part of me wants to forgive him but a part of me is worried I will be hurt again.”
These parts can take on different roles—some protective, some vulnerable, and others that may hold unresolved pain. My role as a therapist is to help clients identify and connect with these parts in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. This journey begins with fostering a sense of safety and trust, allowing individuals to explore their internal landscape at their own pace.
When clients access their Self (their leadership parts), they can approach their parts with curiosity, compassion, and understanding. This process often leads to deeper insights and transformation, as clients learn to integrate and harmonize their internal system rather than suppress or avoid it.
IFS is not only about addressing symptoms; it emphasizes healing at the root level. Clients are guided to develop internal alliances, fostering a sense of balance and harmony among their parts. This empowers individuals to lead more resilient and fulfilling lives, as they become more attuned to their emotions and the needs of their inner system. When our own inner systems are in balance it helps foster change and have have empathy/compassion for other people in our lives, creating a more open space for connection.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a supportive and safe environment where clients can explore their internal world, heal from past wounds, and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves. Together, we work toward fostering self-acceptance and compassion, equipping individuals with valuable tools for navigating life's challenges. Through the IFS lens, therapy becomes a journey of self-discovery, growth, and reconnection with one’s true self.
Whether you're facing challenges in your personal life, navigating relationship issues, or seeking support for mental health concerns, I am here to help you find clarity and resilience. Together, we can work towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
